Hi, I'm Julie.

I'm a systems, people, and operations consultant helping mission-driven organizations align their values with how work actually gets done. I design structures that support clarity, repair, and sustainable growth.

Curiosity drives everything I do. I’m always trying to understand what’s underneath a challenge — why something works, why it breaks down, and what might be possible instead. I have a tendency to organize complexity in unexpected ways, bringing coherence to environments that feel stuck, chaotic, or overly familiar.

I see possibility inside ambiguity and rarely walk away before that possibility has been realized. My artistic background shapes how I approach systems and people alike: creatively, relationally, and with an eye for opportunity in places others might overlook.

Organizations work best when people understand where they're going, why their work matters, and how to contribute to something larger than themselves.

Too often, businesses respond to growth by adding more meetings, more software, more policies, or more layers of process. But complexity rarely solves complexity. Healthy organizations aren't built through bureaucracy - they're built through clarity.

The best systems are the ones people actually want to use. They create consistency without rigidity, accountability without fear, and enough structure for people to do their best thinking, collaborate effectively, and adapt as the organization evolves.

At Rootwork Collaborative, our work sits at the intersection of people, process, and technology because none of those things exist in isolation. Every operational challenge is also a communication challenge. Every technology decision affects culture. Every process either builds trust or erodes it.

Whether I'm helping an organization redesign operations, implement new technology, develop leaders, or navigate change, my goal is the same: to create healthy, resilient systems that support both the mission and the people carrying it forward.
